As you can see, we're pretty close to 'lock up'. Basically the only thing left for lock-up is to fit the doors... which is slightly more complicated than it sounds. In addition to the fairly standard front door, we have ordered a big bi-fold door that slots into the big hole at the back of the house and some french doors that go in the 'formal lounge' and open out onto the side. They're the sort of doors that can't be left lying around on a building site because someone might knock them off. So they've been left til last and the builder will fit them as soon as they're delivered. In theory, they'll be very difficult to knock off once they're bolted to the bricks.
We are scheduled to meet with the builder 'on site' this Wednesday to go over everything that comes next - including what's left for lock-up, electrical plans (which we're wanting to change substantially) and all the other stuff that goes inside. We'll be sure to keep you posted on developments!

YeeHaa! Now it looks like a real house. How exciting, shopping time? Can't wait to see the paint on the walls now. You both deserve this so much.
